CHCC welcomes Dr. Melody Angel as new primary care provider for Rota Health Center

SAIPAN — Commonwealth Healthcare Corporation has added a new primary care provider for Rota, welcoming Dr. Melody Angel to the Rota Health Center on a two-year contract to serve the island community.

CHCC said Angel is a board-certified family medicine physician with a Bachelor of Science in Zoology from Andrews University, a medical degree from Michigan State University in 1998, and a family medicine residency at Sparrow Hospital/MSU Family Practice Residency.

Her background includes work in outlying emergency departments in Michigan, urgent care, and most recently as medical director for five nursing homes and a hospice service in the Greater Detroit area.

CHCC said Angel’s clinical interests include patient storytelling, supporting individuals and families through a dignified, patient-centered end-of-life process, and incorporating lifestyle medicine into everyday practice.

The agency said it looks forward to the compassionate, patient-centered care Angel will bring to the Rota community.
