SAIPAN — Approved U.S. Small Business Administration disaster loans for Super Typhoon Sinlaku recovery have reached $9 million and are approaching the $10 million mark, according to the agency’s latest figures.
Through June 4, the SBA had approved $9 million in loans across 839 applications under the Sinlaku disaster declaration, MP 21550. Home loans accounted for the bulk of the total at $8.8 million, followed by $85,200 in Economic Injury Disaster Loans and $81,800 in business loans.
Of the 839 applications, 688 were for homes, 138 for businesses, and 13 for economic injury, the SBA said.
Separately, the Business One Stop Permitting Center on Capitol Hill has changed its opening time. The center now opens at 8 a.m., a half hour earlier than its previous 8:30 a.m. start, and continues to operate Monday through Friday until 4 p.m.
