SAIPAN — After weeks of weather-related disruptions that left fields waterlogged and schedules in flux, the 2026 Saipan Little League season is hitting its stride, with the Senior and Junior divisions both producing standout individual performances and clear frontrunners in the standings.
Organizers worked to get diamonds back into playing condition following an extended stretch of rain that pushed games back across both divisions. The effort has paid off, with competitive play now underway and statistics beginning to paint a clear picture of who is leading the pack.
In the Senior Division, the Fielders have been dominant, posting a perfect 7-0 record through March 30. On the mound, Damian Palacios has been virtually unhittable, throwing 11 innings without allowing an earned run for a 0.00 ERA. At the plate, Palacios is also the division’s top hitter at .563 with 11 RBIs, making him the most complete two-way player in the league. The NSA Braves are the only team within striking distance at 5-1, while the Kagman Lions sit at 3-4, the Ol’Aces at 1-4 and the Comets winless at 0-7.
Kagman’s Austin Camacho leads all Senior Division pitchers with 29 strikeouts, and teammate Anthon Tudela has added 23 more, giving the Lions a potent arm despite their .500 record. Kevin Schardt of the Fielders ranks second in ERA at 1.060 and third in strikeouts with 20.
In the Junior Division, the Ol’Aces have been equally dominant, extending their unbeaten run to 6-0 through March 30. Kaleb Reyes has been the division’s most dangerous hitter, batting .733 with 16 runs scored and a home run, while teammate Tiwsor Taisakan leads all Junior Division players in RBIs with 10. The Mariners are second at 4-2, while the Dodgers, Comets and Cobras are each fighting to stay relevant in the bottom half of the standings.
On the mound in the Junior Division, the Mariners’ pitching duo of John Fred and Dayton Marchadesch has been the most effective in the league, with Fred posting a 1.736 ERA and Marchadesch leading all pitchers with 22 strikeouts. Ol’Aces’ Aiden Lizama is second in ERA at 1.750, reinforcing why his team has yet to lose a game.
Full batting and pitching statistics for both divisions are published below. Statistics are based on a minimum of 12 at-bats for hitting and six innings for Senior Division pitchers and five innings for Junior Division pitchers, through their respective reporting dates of March 24 and March 30.
