Lieutenant Governor: No Fuel Shortage Expected, Public Should Not Panic

Mendiola says he spoke directly with IP&E management, who confirmed fuel supply is stable

SAIPAN — Lieutenant Governor Dennis James C. Mendiola is urging the public not to panic over rumors circulating on Saipan about a potential fuel shortage this month, saying he spoke directly with management at IP&E and was told no shortage is expected.

“I just spoke with the Management of IP&E, there is no expectation of running out of fuel,” Mendiola said. “And should there be problems identified in the future, they will inform the general public. So for now: please inform our people not to panic or worry.”
