SAIPAN — Governor David M. Apatang joined community and government leaders early Monday morning for a send-off ceremony marking the official return of Philippine Airlines service between Saipan and Manila.
Governor Apatang highlighted the importance of the partnership and noted the high demand expected for the route. The inaugural Saipan-Manila flight represents a significant milestone in the administration’s efforts to revitalize the CNMI economy.
Among those attending the ceremony were Congresswoman Kimberlyn King-Hinds, House Speaker Edmund Villagomez, Philippine Consulate General in Hagåtña Consul Joaquin Ricardo Aragon, MVA Managing Director Jamika Taijeron and Commonwealth Ports Authority Executive Director Esther Ada.
