Guam Lt. Governor Tenorio elected to lead Aerospace States Association executive board

HAGÅTÑA, Guam — Guam Lieutenant Governor Joshua F. Tenorio has been elected chairman of the executive board of the Aerospace States Association, a nonprofit advocacy organization focused on aerospace and aviation issues and federal aerospace policy.

The Aerospace States Association represents all 50 states, territories and tribal nations, and was founded in 1993 to promote aerospace interests at the state level and focus on science research.

In remarks during a video conference with association leadership, Tenorio said it is “a dynamic time” marked by rapid technological advances and evolving security issues. The release also quotes Tenorio describing Guam as being on the “front line” of security issues in Asia and “at the forefront” of technology and execution connected to missile defense planning.

Tenorio will serve on the executive board with Vice Chairman Lt. Gov. Matt Pinnell of Oklahoma, Lt. Gov. Howie Morales of New Mexico, and Secretary Mal McGhee of the Poarch Band of Creek Indians in Alabama.
