ROTA — The Commonwealth Utilities Corporation said Tuesday that water service has been fully restored to affected areas on Rota following a contamination alert that prompted a service interruption last week.
CUC notified the public on March 18 that E. coli had been detected in the raw water source serving higher-elevated areas on the island during routine sampling. Operators isolated the area of concern and conducted follow-up testing. A sample collected from the raw water source on Monday, March 23, came back free of total coliform and E. coli.
All water services to the affected areas were restored as of Tuesday, March 24.
