SAIPAN — The CNMI Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Management will be troubleshooting and testing its all-hazard mobile siren this Friday, January 23.
HSEM said the testing is scheduled from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. During that window, the mobile siren will be activated multiple times, with each activation lasting about two minutes.
The planned test route includes the Marpi Landfill area, continues through the San Juan area, and ends at Route 36. HSEM described the test as a critical part of its preparedness and response strategy. The all-hazard mobile siren is designed to alert residents to potential threats including tsunamis, severe weather, wildfires, and air raid warnings.
