CNMI to Issue Full NAP Benefits by November 17

SAIPAN — The CNMI government will issue full November Nutrition Assistance Program benefits to all participating households no later than Monday, November 17, according to an announcement from Governor David M. Apatang.

The Governor said benefits may begin appearing as early as Saturday, November 15, following full funding authorization from the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food and Nutrition Service. The approval allows NAP to resume normal benefit levels for recipients across Saipan, Tinian, Rota, and the Northern Islands.

Apatang noted that the NAP team has been processing issuances for all eligible households and thanked families for their patience during recent weeks of uncertainty. He said restoring the full benefit amount has been one of his administration’s top priorities.

He also recognized Nutrition Assistance Program Administrator Margarita T. Aldan and her staff, along with federal partners at USDA-FNS, for working to prevent further delays. Department of Community and Cultural Affairs Secretary Francisco M. Rabauliman highlighted the collaboration between NAP staff, USDA-FNS, FIS, and Conduent, stating the restored benefits are significant to the families served.

Households are encouraged to confirm their issuance through the EBT portal at www.cnminap.gov.mp
