CHCC says SAMHSA rescinded prior termination notice tied to grant funding

SAIPAN — The Commonwealth Healthcare Corporation said Friday it has received notice from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration rescinding a prior termination communication tied to specific grant funding, an update CHCC says confirms the continuation of the affected programs.

CHCC said it received a termination notice on Wednesday, January 14, under 2 CFR §200.340(a)(4) related to specific SAMHSA grant funding.

After receiving that notice, CHCC said it activated contingency and continuity plans, used alternative funding streams, and coordinated with partners to ensure essential behavioral health priorities, services, and patient care continued without interruption.

CHCC said it received notice Friday morning rescinding the termination and advising that the prior notice be disregarded.
