SAIPAN — The Commonwealth Healthcare Corporation announced Saturday that all outpatient clinic services will close upon the declaration of Typhoon Condition II or I, while emergency rooms at CHCC Hospital, Rota Health Center and the LCVA Tinian Health Center will remain open around the clock regardless of conditions.
Elective surgeries scheduled for Monday, April 13 are canceled and will be rescheduled. CHCC said it will contact affected patients directly. Hemodialysis services will also be closed Monday, April 13, with affected patients contacted individually to coordinate continuity of care.
Expectant mothers who are at least 36 weeks pregnant or at risk for preterm labor may seek shelter through CHCC by calling 670-234-8950. Tinian and Rota residents may report directly to their respective health centers.
CHCC is strongly encouraging all residents to stock at least a one-week supply of prescription medications, particularly those managing diabetes, hypertension or asthma, stored in a waterproof container.
The CHCC Outpatient Pharmacy will be open Sunday, April 12, from 8 a.m. to noon for medication refills. That is the last window to fill prescriptions before conditions deteriorate.
