SAIPAN — Attorney General Edward Manibusan announced the CNMI’s 39th Annual Attorney General’s Cup speech competition will be held Friday, May 1, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. in the Guma Hustisia Supreme Court Courtroom.
The Office of the Attorney General said the event coincides with Law Day activities in the CNMI and is part of a long-running effort to encourage students to think critically about legal and civic issues.
Manibusan said the competition provides students a platform to express ideas and engage with issues impacting the community.
The Attorney General’s Office said a steering committee has begun preparations, including coordinating logistics, reviewing guidelines, and outreach to schools across the CNMI to promote participation.
The public is invited to attend and support participating students. The competition topic and additional details will be announced later, the Attorney General’s Office said.
