SAIPAN — Residents in the Sadog Tasi and Puerto Rico areas can expect a noticeable sewage odor from Friday, March 27, through Monday, March 30, the Commonwealth Utilities Corporation said Wednesday.
CUC said the odor is connected to the activation of the Sadog Tasi Wastewater Treatment Plant during the startup of the digester aerator unit. The utility described it as a normal operational procedure necessary to ensure proper treatment plant operations and said the odor is expected to be temporary.
