SAIPAN — Mobil raised fuel prices on Saipan again Sunday night, with gasoline grades climbing between 35 and 60 cents per gallon and diesel jumping $1.60 to $7.589, the highest price seen at the pump in recent memory.
Extra grade gasoline rose from $5.619 to $5.969 per gallon, while Supreme+ climbed from $5.819 to $6.419. Diesel saw the sharpest increase, surging from $5.989 to $7.589 per gallon.
The increases come just days after Mobil raised prices island-wide on Tuesday, March 3, when diesel jumped 40 cents per gallon. This latest round marks a cumulative diesel increase of $2 per gallon in less than a week.
Shell stations on Saipan remained at the earlier prices as of Sunday night but are expected to adjust their prices Monday morning when they reopen. Shell stations close at 9 p.m.
