Guam Publishes First Quarterly Report on Government Purchases of Local Produce and Fish

ADELUP, Guam — The Government of Guam has released its first quarterly report on locally produced agricultural and fish products purchased by government agencies, fulfilling a transparency requirement under Guam Public Law 33-93.

The Bureau of Statistics and Plans and the Department of Agriculture are required under the law to collect and publish quarterly data on both imported agricultural and fish products and locally produced goods procured by government agencies. The data is intended to enhance transparency about what produce and fish the government is buying and where it comes from, while also highlighting the role local farmers and fishers play in meeting consumer demand.

The report covers purchases made during the first quarter of Fiscal Year 2026. Contributing agencies include the Government House, Guam Department of Education, Department of Youth Affairs, Department of Public Health and Social Services, Guam Memorial Hospital Authority, and the Department of Corrections.
