ROTA — The CNMI is being invited to Rota next month for the 8th Annual Rota Gilita Festival, scheduled for March 20 and 21 at Chamorro Village, with activities set to begin at 6:00 p.m., according to an event announcement.
Organizers said the festival is intended to celebrate the island’s heritage, culture, and traditions, and will include demonstrations, hands-on activities, live entertainment, cultural performances, exhibitions, and other community events.
The Gilita Festival has become one of Rota’s marquee cultural gatherings, bringing together families, visitors, and community groups for an evening-focused celebration built around local culture and island identity.
