Diocese of Chalan Kanoa releases Ash Wednesday Mass schedule across the Marianas

SAIPAN — The Roman Catholic Diocese of Chalan Kanoa has released the full Mass schedule for Ash Wednesday, February 18, marking the start of the Lenten season for Catholic faithful across Saipan, Tinian, and Rota.

Ash Wednesday is observed with the distribution of ashes, a traditional sign of repentance and reflection, as Catholics enter the 40-day season of Lent in preparation for Easter. Parishes across the Commonwealth will offer multiple Mass times throughout the day to accommodate parishioners.

At Our Lady of Mount Carmel Cathedral, Masses will be celebrated at 6:00 a.m., 7:40 a.m., and 6:00 p.m. On Saipan, San Jose Parish, San Vicente Ferrer Parish, San Roque Parish, Santa Soledad Parish, and San Antonio de Padua Parish will each hold Masses at 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. Nuestra Señora Bithen Delos Remedios Parish will celebrate Mass at 6:00 p.m., while St. Paul Chong Ha-Sang Parish will hold an evening Mass at 7:30 p.m.

Additional Saipan services include Kristo Rai Parish at 6:00 a.m., 11:45 a.m., and 6:00 p.m., St. Jude Thaddeus Parish at 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., San Isidro Labrador Parish at 6:00 p.m., and the Holy Rosary Oratory at 7:30 p.m. The CHCC Hospital Chapel will hold an Ash Wednesday Mass at 11:00 a.m.

On Tinian, San Jose Parish will celebrate Masses at 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., while on Rota, San Francisco de Borja Parish will offer Mass at 6:00 a.m.
