SAIPAN — A legacy softball tournament honoring longtime player and community figure Melvin Sakisat will be held February 23 through February 27 at the Capitol Hill Softball Field, bringing teams together to celebrate the life and impact of one of the CNMI’s respected figures in the game.

Organizers said the tournament is intended as both a competitive event and a community gathering, inviting players, supporters, and friends to come together in recognition of Sakisat’s contributions to local softball. The event carries an entrance fee of $175 per team.

The tournament is being organized by a group of community members and volunteers, with organizers emphasizing that the focus is on honoring Sakisat’s legacy and supporting one of the CNMI’s own.
