SAIPAN — While Super Bowl showdown between the Seattle Seahawks and New England Patriots will bring hundreds of football fans to Saipan’s homes of hydration, the Department of Public Safety Highway Patrol will conduct two DUI sobriety checkpoints on February 9 as part of its roadway-safety enforcement effort.
The first checkpoint is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. to 3:45 p.m. on Beach Road in Garapan, in the southbound lane by the Fishing Base. A second checkpoint is scheduled for 5 p.m. to 6:15 p.m. on Beach Road in Susupe, in the northbound lane by the Multi-Purpose Building.
