Sorry, kiddos. CNMI Public School System schools on Saipan, Tinian, and Rota will remain open and operate on a regular schedule this week, the Office of the Commissioner of Education said in an official release dated January 27.
The school system said school is not canceled this week and students should report to school as scheduled if they are not sick.
PSS said the safety of students, staff, and families remains its top priority, and that any weather-related schedule changes are made carefully based on official announcements and guidance from the Office of the Governor and appropriate government agencies.
If any changes become necessary, PSS said families will be notified promptly through official CNMI PSS communication channels.
The school system also asked families to rely only on official updates shared through school communications, emails, or PSS social media pages.
