ROTA — The Commonwealth Utilities Corporation(CUC) has announced scheduled power service interruptions for the island of Rota on Thursday, July 10, 2025, and Tuesday, July 15, 2025.
On Thursday, July 10, the power service interruption will take place from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Areas affected include Feeder 2, covering Sonton, Sinapalo I, II, III, Ginalangan, Pali’e, Chenchon, As Nieves, Gampapa, and the Rota International Airport. No water wells will be affected. The purpose of this interruption is to allow CUC linemen to replace high-voltage hardware and reinforce the power distribution system.
On Tuesday, July 15, another scheduled power service interruption will occur from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. This will affect Feeder 2 in the Ginalangan area, from the Stations of the Cross to the DLNR Substation. No water wells will be affected. This interruption is necessary for the CUC line crew to replace primary hardware and reinforce the power distribution system.
