Scheduled outage set for Sadog Tasi, parts of Capitol Hill on January 6

SAIPAN — The Commonwealth Utilities Corporation will cut power to Sadog Tasi and portions of Capitol Hill for four hours Tuesday to replace a primary power pole.

The scheduled outage will run from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. January 6, affecting residents and businesses in the marked areas.

CUC linemen will use the interruption to replace aging infrastructure, according to a public advisory issued Tuesday by Executive Director Kevin O. Watson.

The outage will affect multiple water wells, including the Maui IV Booster Station and several SQ and RP wells, as well as the Chlorine Treatment Station. The traffic light at Mobil Sadog Tasi will also be affected.

No wastewater facilities will be impacted by the work.

CUC asked for the public’s cooperation as crews work to maintain reliable service. The utility corporation serves customers across the U.S. Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands.
