SAIPAN – The CNMI Department of Public Safety will conduct two sobriety checkpoints on Christmas Eve as part of efforts to ensure road safety during the holiday season.
The first checkpoint is scheduled from 6:30 p.m. to 7:15 p.m. on Beach Road in Garapan along the southbound lane by Fishing Base. The second will run from 9:00 p.m. to 10:15 p.m. on Chalan Monsignor Guerrero Road in Chalan Kiya along the westbound lane by the CUC waterloo.
Highway Patrol will also conduct high-visibility saturation patrols along Chalan Pale Arnold Road, Beach Road, and Chalan Monsignor Guerrero Road between 6:30 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. to enhance traffic safety and promote compliance with traffic laws.
