SAIPAN — CNMI students seeking appointments to U.S. Service Academies can now apply for congressional nominations, but the time to act is now because the window for applications closes at the end of the Friday, December 5, 2025.
Eligibility requirements include being a U.S. citizen and between ages 17 and 23, with a maximum age of 25 for the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy. Applicants must also legally reside in the Commonwealth, be unmarried, not pregnant, and have no legal obligation to support children or dependents.
Academic and screening requirements listed include a strong GPA, high SAT/ACT scores, and rigorous coursework including advanced math and science; passing the Candidate Fitness Assessment (CFA); and passing a medical exam through the Department of Defense Medical Examination Review Board (DoDMERB). Leadership experience is also highly valued.
