SAIPAN — The Department of Public Safety has announced a series of traffic enforcement checkpoints this week, including four sobriety checkpoints on Wednesday, November 26, and two occupant protection/child restraint checkpoints on Friday, November 28, on major roadways on Saipan.
According to DPS, the sobriety checkpoints will take place on November 26 at the following times and locations:
- 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM
- Chalan Monsignor Guerrero Road, Dandan to Chalan Monsignor Guerrero Road, San Jose
- 6:15 PM – 8:15 PM
- Beach Road, Susupe to Beach Road, Garapan
- 9:00 PM – 11:30 PM
- Beach Road, Susupe to Beach Road, Garapan
- 9:15 PM – 11:30 PM
- Chalan Pale Arnold Road, Gualo Rai to Chalan Pale Arnold Road, Puerto Rico
Two separate occupant protection and child restraint checkpoints are scheduled for November 28 on Saipan:
- 8:30 AM – 10:30 AM
- Beach Road (Garapan to Susupe)
- 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM
- Chalan Monsignor Guerrero (San Vicente to Chalan Kiya)
DPS is advising motorists to drive safely, ensure all occupants are properly restrained, and follow all traffic laws.
