SAIPAN —Several professional artists and performers from South Korea paid a courtesy visit to Saipan Mayor RB Camacho this week, following a series of cultural performances on island.
According to the Mayor’s Office, the group, led by acclaimed director Hwang Hee Sang, took part in events on Saipan aimed at showcasing the vibrant artistic traditions of Korea and deepening cultural ties with the community.
Mayor Camacho presented the delegation with certificates of appreciation and crafted shell necklaces in gratitude for sharing their talent and arts with the people of Saipan.
City officials said cultural exchanges such as this help build connections between the Commonwealth and the wider world by bringing international artists into direct contact with residents, students and local performers.
