Dededo, Guam — CNMI made the most of their opportunities on Wednesday, defeating American Samoa 15–4 at the Dededo Sports Complex, despite recording fewer hits in the game.
American Samoa out-hit CNMI 8–6, but walks and wild pitches tilted the game early. CNMI scored seven runs in the opening inning, drawing five walks and getting an RBI single from Jequinn Lizama. They added another run in the third on a Javen Camacho triple, then broke it open with a six-run sixth that included a two-run double by Jesus Santos and a wild pitch that scored three.
Hunter Dela Cruz pitched a complete game for CNMI, giving up eight hits and four runs—only two of them earned—while striking out five over six innings.
Jequinn Lizama led CNMI at the plate, going 2-for-2 with two RBIs. Camacho, Santos, Lizama, and Nick Sablan each drove in two runs, and CNMI drew 13 walks as a team.
For American Samoa, Jesse To’oto’o, Taulauniumatuitagata Cassens, and Harry Fatu each collected two hits. Philip Fatialofa drove in the team’s lone RBI.
American Samoa will host the Philippines in their next game Thursday.

Guam Defeats Philippines 11–1 Behind Evan Acosta’s Four-RBI Performance
Guam’s bats came alive at the Dededo Sports Complex on Wednesday, led by Evan Acosta’s four-RBI day, as they defeated the Philippines 11–1 in dominant fashion.
Acosta went 3-for-3 at the plate, driving in a run on a double in the fourth before launching a three-run homer to center field in the fifth to seal the mercy-rule win. Guam opened scoring in the first inning on an RBI single from Colby Doyle, then widened the gap in the third with runs from Cameron Ayuyu, Coen Nate Pangelinan, Reef Balajadia, and a wild pitch.
On the mound, Guam starter Javier Taimanglo pitched four and two-thirds innings, giving up just two hits and one unearned run while striking out four. Nathan Cruz handled relief duties. Philippines starter Santino Malabanan went two innings, allowing one unearned run on two hits.
Philippines’ offense was held in check, with Rhyzen Villaflor and Jimmuel Maala each logging a hit. Maala drove in the team’s only run.
Guam is scheduled to face the CNMI next.
