Partly cloudy Friday with isolated showers across the Marianas

SAIPAN — Residents can expect partly cloudy skies with isolated showers Friday, with east winds of 10 to 15 mph and highs around 88, according to the National Weather Service forecast issued at 6 a.m. Friday.

Tonight will remain partly cloudy with isolated showers, east winds around 10 mph and lows around 78. The chance of showers is 20 percent through tonight.

Saturday looks slightly drier, with partly cloudy skies, isolated light showers, east winds of 10 to 15 mph and highs around 87. The chance of showers drops to 10 percent. Saturday night and Sunday bring light and variable winds, lows around 78 and highs around 87, with a 20 percent chance of showers continuing through Thursday, with lows in the upper 70s and highs in the upper 80s.

On the water, light to gentle east to northeast winds are expected through the weekend, with combined seas of around 3 feet persisting across the coastal waters into next week.

At Tanapag Harbor, low tide falls at 11:15 a.m. Friday at -0.2 feet, with high tide at 6:41 p.m. at 1.9 feet. Saturday brings a -0.5 foot low tide at 12:01 p.m. and a 2.4 foot high tide at 4:23 a.m.
