SAIPAN — The Northern Marianas Bar Association will host a free legal aid clinic June 13 for community members still working through the aftermath of Super Typhoon Sinlaku, offering guidance on disaster assistance, housing, property, insurance and documents.
The Super Typhoon Sinlaku Legal Aid Clinic runs from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, June 13, at the Multi-Purpose Center in Susupe. The clinic offers free legal information and guidance for residents facing storm-related legal issues.
Attorneys will be able to help with FEMA and insurance appeals, property and land matters, landlord-tenant disputes and document replacement, according to the Bar Association.
Spots are limited, with the first 100 registrants accepted, though organizers said additional slots may be added. Residents can register for an appointment using the clinic’s registration form or call the hotline at (670) 789-5429.
The Bar Association noted the clinic provides limited scope consultation only, with no ongoing representation implied.
