SAIPAN — The CNMI State Board of Education has rescheduled its special board meeting from Monday to Tuesday because of the tsunami advisory issued earlier in the day, the board said in a memo to stakeholders.
In the memo dated June 8, Board Chairperson Maisie B. Tenorio said that due to the tsunami advisory issued by the Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Management at 10:20 a.m., the special board meeting initially scheduled for Monday was rescheduled for Tuesday, June 9, at 1 p.m. The agenda will remain as is.
The meeting of the 19th CNMI State Board of Education will be held in the Board of Education Conference Room at Building No. 1241 on Capitol Hill, and will also be available via Zoom. The meeting ID is 979 5372 6828 and the passcode is 692655.
The agenda includes unfinished business on disaster pay and updates on school projects at Koblerville Elementary School, Da’Ok Academy and Hopwood Middle School. Under new business, the board is set to take up the school year 2026-2027 calendar, a COE exit report, an acting COE and CLO Report No. 2026-19-02. The agenda also lists time for public comments, an executive session and miscellaneous matters.
