SAIPAN — The Survivor Recovery Center on Saipan is closed for the remainder of the day Monday, CNMI emergency officials said, while assistance for typhoon survivors remains available remotely.
The Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Management announced the closure at 11:30 a.m. Monday, June 8. The agency said the Recovery Centers on Tinian and Rota will continue their normal operating hours and that HSEM will keep monitoring the situation and provide updates as they become available.
All services offered at the Saipan center remain available remotely. Survivors may apply or check the status of an application for FEMA Individual Assistance or U.S. Small Business Administration support by phone, online or through the FEMA mobile app.
By phone, survivors can reach FEMA at (800) 621-3362 or a local FEMA line at (671) 735-1050, and the SBA at (800) 659-2955. Applications and status checks can be completed online at DisasterAssistance.gov and sba.gov/disaster. The FEMA App is available on Google Play and the App Store.
HSEM said it will continue to monitor conditions and share further updates with the public.
