SAIPAN — FEMA’s National Processing Service Center will undergo maintenance beginning at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, the CNMI Joint Information Center said, a downtime that may delay the review of pending Sinlaku assistance cases at the Survivor Recovery Centers on Saipan, Tinian, and Rota and on DisasterAssistance.gov.
New applications for federal disaster assistance are not affected and continue to be processed, the JIC said.
Sinlaku survivors can still apply by calling the local survivor line at 671-735-1050 or the FEMA Helpline at 800-621-3362, or by visiting any of the three Survivor Recovery Centers to complete their applications.
The Small Business Administration and the American Red Cross remain operational at the Survivor Recovery Centers during the FEMA system downtime, the JIC said.
The JIC said an update will be provided once the system is fully restored.
