Rain Doesn’t Stop PSS Distribution as Week Two Gets Under Way

SAIPAN – The Public School System’s second-week Grab and Learn distribution got under way Wednesday morning with PSS staff setting up tents and keeping lines moving through morning showers across the islands.

A viewer photo from William S. Reyes Elementary School in Garapan showed families pulling up under the school’s tent canopy as light rain came through ahead of the noon close. The distribution runs from 9 a.m. to noon Wednesday across 12 sites on Saipan, Tinian and Rota while supplies last.

PSS scaled up its packet supply this week to 3,000 enrichment packets, nearly double the more than 1,700 distributed last week. Packets cover four grade bands, kindergarten through 12th, with math, reading and social emotional learning activities.

Students who completed last week’s packets may bring them to any Grab and Learn site for a small incentive while supplies last.
