SAIPAN – Dr. Lawrence Camacho and Edith Deleon Guerrero have launched their 2026 gubernatorial campaign under the banner “Setting the Course for Long Term Results.”
The ticket announced its candidacy Saturday, releasing a platform document organized around three pillars of Strength, Courage and Patience and a 90-day plan focused on stabilizing government operations, activating the economy and building long-term resilience.
“The CNMI must become a place where families can stay, grow, invest and pass opportunity on to the next generation,” the campaign document reads.
Camacho currently serves as the Commissioner of the Public School System. Deleon Guerrero’s full background will be detailed in additional coverage.
The platform calls for stabilizing government operations and public confidence, protecting working families during fiscal uncertainty, creating long-term career pathways for local residents, strengthening agriculture and local supply chains, expanding workforce training, improving transparency and reducing long-term outmigration.
