SAIPAN – Breezy conditions and isolated light showers are expected across the Marianas Saturday with east winds of 15 to 25 mph, the National Weather Service in Tiyan said.
Highs will be around 88 degrees Saturday with overnight lows near 77. The chance of showers is 10 percent.
Sunday and Monday will see similar breezy conditions with highs near 87 and lows around 78. The chance of showers rises to 20 percent.
A significant easterly swell is building across the region. Combined seas will rise from 4 to 6 feet Saturday to 5 to 7 feet Saturday night, then to 6 to 8 feet Sunday through Monday, NWS said. Conditions are expected to stay below levels hazardous to small craft for the time being.
East winds across coastal waters will run 15 to 20 knots through Monday.
At Tanapag Harbor, Saipan, the next low tide is at 1:10 p.m. with a high tide at 8:37 p.m.
