COTA Tops 763 Sinlaku Transports; Saipan Call-A-Ride Limited to Essential Trips

SAIPAN — The Commonwealth Office of Transit Authority has logged 763 transports for Super Typhoon Sinlaku recovery from April 10 through 6 a.m. Monday, the agency said.

The total includes 193 shelterees, 474 medical transports, 52 airport runs, 18 military and 26 other transports.

COTA remains activated to support the CNMI Homeland Security and Emergency Management Operations Center for shelter transportation and other recovery needs.

Call-A-Ride Rota and Call-A-Ride Tinian are fully operational. Reservations: (670) 236-2682.

Call-A-Ride Saipan is operating for essential trips only, including hemodialysis, prescription refills, clinic visits and scheduled appointments. Demand Response services are also available for transport to relief and recovery sites.

Fixed Route Blue Line 1B is running modified hours Sunday through Saturday from 6:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. With bus stop signs missing across the route, riders should raise a hand to flag drivers before the bus arrives.
