Tinian Ice and Water Bottling Co. Limits Production to Daytime Hours, Citing Fuel Costs

TINIAN — Tinian Ice and Water Bottling Co. is temporarily limiting production of purified ice and water to daytime operations due to increased fuel costs, the company said in a public notice Monday.

The company said the overall quantity of ice and water available to the community will be reduced as a result. The temporary measures will remain in place until island-wide electricity service is restored or additional support becomes available, according to the notice.

Tinian Ice and Water Bottling Co. said the company continues to operate at its own expense to provide essential resources to the community despite the challenges.

“We appreciate the public’s understanding and continued support during this time,” the company said.

The notice was distributed through the Municipality of Tinian and Aguiguan and dated May 4, 2026.

Tinian remains 100% without commercial power following Super Typhoon Sinlaku.
