SAIPAN — Commonwealth Healthcare Corporation’s Population Health Services team is conducting house-to-house medical outreach across Saipan this week, bringing integrated care directly to community members still recovering from Super Typhoon Sinlaku.
Working alongside Team Rubicon and Samaritan’s Purse, the CHCC team has incorporated its pharmacy and IT department staff to deliver services in the field. Providers are treating wound care cases, infections and helping residents access refills for medications lost or made inaccessible during the storm.
“We’re seeing a lot of wound care, infection treatment, and also helping community members access refills to medications that many of them had lost during the typhoon,” said Heather Pangilinan of CHCC Population Health Services. “Things like diabetes and hypertension are some of the conditions that we’re helping our community members with.”
The outreach is scheduled to continue through Sunday, May 3.
