Mayor’s Office Disaster Tent Program Now Open; Accommodations Available for Elderly and Special Needs

SAIPAN — The Saipan Mayor’s Office Disaster Tent Program is accepting applications Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 2799 Teer Drive Suite A, with accommodations available for Man Amko’ and individuals with special needs.

The application process requires two forms and must be submitted in person. No online or email submissions will be accepted. Submitting an application does not guarantee a disaster tent — FEMA will assess each claim individually.

Heads of household should come prepared with the names, ages and sex of all household members, a description of how the typhoon affected their household, and a detailed hand-drawn map showing the location of their property or residence, including a house number if applicable.

The Mayor’s Office said it is providing Easy Step assistance for elderly and special needs applicants.

The program is administered in partnership with the Department of Fire and Emergency Medical Services and FEMA under Emergency EM-3645-MP. For more information, call (670) 234-6208 or visit saipanmayor.cnmi.gov.
