SAIPAN — The Commonwealth Utilities Corporation is urging all Saipan customers to limit water use to essential needs only as the island’s water system continues its recovery from Typhoon Sinlaku, according to a public advisory issued Friday at 11:30 a.m.
CUC is asking that water use be restricted to drinking, cooking and basic hygiene. The advisory asks all car wash facilities that rely on CUC water to remain closed until further notice, effective immediately.
Crews are actively identifying and repairing leaks across the system. Residents are asked to report any visible water leaks to assist those efforts. Call CUC at (670) 664-4282
