CHCC Restricts Hospital Visitation Ahead of Typhoon Sinlaku

SAIPAN — The Commonwealth Healthcare Corporation announced Sunday that updated visitation protocols are now in effect at Commonwealth Health Center Hospital as Typhoon Sinlaku approaches the Marianas.

General visiting hours are limited to one visitor per patient at a time from noon to 8 p.m. Children 12 and younger are not permitted to visit except with approval from the attending physician on a case-by-case basis. One designated inpatient caregiver or support person may remain with a patient throughout their stay.

Specialty units are operating on restricted schedules. The Intensive Care Unit is open for visitors from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. and noon to 8 p.m. The Neonatal ICU is open from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. for parents only. The Psychiatric Unit allows family or approved visitors from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Visitation in the Emergency Department is limited and at the discretion of the care team.
