Trump Threatens Iran With Power Plant and Bridge Strikes, Demands Strait of Hormuz Be Opened

WASHINGTON — President Donald Trump posted a blunt warning to Iran on Truth Social Saturday, saying Tuesday would bring strikes on power plants and bridges and demanding the country open the Strait of Hormuz.

“Tuesday will be Power Plant Day, and Bridge Day, all wrapped up in one, in Iran,” Trump wrote. “There will be nothing like it!!!”

Trump directed his message at Iranian leadership, ordering them to open the strait and warning of severe consequences if they did not.

“Open the Fuckin’ Strait, you crazy bastards, or you’ll be living in Hell,” he wrote. “JUST WATCH! Praise be to Allah. President DONALD J. TRUMP”

The post came days after Trump addressed the nation on Operation Epic Fury, saying Iran’s military had been effectively dismantled and warning that strikes on Iran’s electrical grid would follow if no diplomatic agreement was reached. Saturday’s post appears to signal that deadline has arrived.

The Strait of Hormuz remains a critical global oil transit route. Its continued disruption has contributed to rising fuel prices worldwide, including in Guam and the CNMI.
