5th Annual Holiday Art Bazaar & Cultural Expo opens tonight as part of CNMI Christmas Village

SAIPAN — The Office of the Governor and Lt. Governor announced the opening of the 2025 CNMI Christmas Village at the Gov. Pedro P. Tenorio Multi-Purpose Center, featuring the 5th Annual Holiday Art Bazaar & Cultural Expo, with events beginning tonight and continuing Dec. 12, 13, and 19.

Organizers said the Holiday Art Bazaar & Expo will be held Dec. 5, 12, and 19 from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. inside the Multi-Purpose Center and will feature work from more than 25 local artists, cultural practitioners, and culinary creators, offering a range of crafts, gifts, demonstrations, and locally made treats.

The Christmas Village schedule also includes agency display booths (outdoors), a food court (5 p.m.–9 p.m.) and live entertainment (6 p.m.–9 p.m.) in the parking lot on select nights.

Key dates listed in the release include:

  • Dec. 5, 5:30 p.m. — Opening Night & Lighting Ceremony
  • Dec. 6, 8 a.m.–4 p.m. — School Christmas Tree Decoration Competition (no entertainment, bazaar or food vendors)
  • Dec. 6, 4:30 p.m. — Tree decoration judging (no entertainment, bazaar or food vendors)
  • Dec. 12, 6 p.m. — Tree decoration awarding
  • Dec. 13, 5 p.m. — Entertainment and food vendors (no bazaar)
  • Dec. 19, 6 p.m. — Toys-for-Tots toy distribution by the Commonwealth Bureau of Military Affairs

The release said the Christmas Village and bazaar are presented in collaboration with multiple government offices and community partners and are intended to support local artisans while celebrating CNMI culture during the holiday season.
