PSS Honors Retiring Education Leaders Jackie Quitugua, Dr. Rizalina Liwag

SAIPAN — The Public School System is paying tribute to two long-serving educators, Jackie A. Quitugua and Dr. Rizalina G. Liwag, who have stepped down after decades in the CNMI school system.
Minor Earthquake Felt in Saipan; No Hazards Issued for the CNMI

SAIPAN — The CNMI Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Management said community members reported feeling a small local earthquake with a couple of jolts around 3:30 p.m. Friday, and the U.S. Geological Survey recorded about four seconds of seismic activity. HSEM said no hazards or tsunami threats have been issued for the CNMI, and the CNMI State Warning Point will continue monitoring and provide updates as available.
Scheduled outage set for Sadog Tasi, parts of Capitol Hill on January 6

SAIPAN — The Commonwealth Utilities Corporation will cut power to Sadog Tasi and portions of Capitol Hill for four hours Tuesday to replace a primary power pole.
