SAIPAN — The 2026 UCEDD Summit continues with its second day Tuesday at the Saipan World Resort, bringing together disability advocates, agencies and community members under the theme “Stronger Together.”
Day 2 of the summit, hosted by the University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities, runs June 9 and opens with registration and networking at 7:30 a.m., followed by welcoming remarks at 8 a.m.
The morning program includes a signing and ASL session with Tim Bigelow at 8:15 a.m., a session on practical ways to manage stress at 9:15 a.m., and Patrice the Movie and AAC training with Kathy Ruszala at 10:30 a.m. A lunch with exhibits and a sensory room follows at noon.
Afternoon breakouts include sessions on disability rights with NMPASI and disability integration with Mike Houston in Taga Hall, a resilience focus group in the Sunflower Room, and a braille basics session with Lizelle Amirez. The day closes with an ASL concert in Taga Hall from 4 to 6 p.m.
