SAIPAN — The Office of the Governor and the Commonwealth Council for Arts & Culture are inviting the community to “sleigh” this holiday season and celebrate “A Tropical Christmas in the Marianas” at the 2025 Annual Christmas Village.
Set for four consecutive Fridays at the Governor Pedro P. Tenorio Multi-Purpose Center in Susupe, the celebration opens with an official lighting ceremony on Friday, Nov. 28, at 6 p.m. and continues on Dec. 5, 12, and 19, with the final night featuring the annual Toys-for-Tots distribution. Festivities will run from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. each Friday, with food vendors opening at 5 p.m. and live entertainment from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
This year’s theme highlights the warmth and creativity of the islands, with decorated booths from government agencies and private businesses, live performances, and a variety of food options for families to enjoy. “Our annual Christmas Village is more than just a celebration, it’s a reminder of the strength and generosity of our people,” said Gov. David M. Apatang, inviting residents to help make this year’s event “a truly tropical and memorable Christmas for the entire community.”
Inside the Multi-Purpose Center, visitors can browse the Annual Holiday Art Bazaar & Expo, featuring local artists, crafters, and food artisans. The bazaar will be open from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. on all four Fridays, offering shoppers a chance to find locally made gifts, artwork, and island delicacies.
The Governor’s Office, in partnership with PDM Promoters, will also continue the Annual School Christmas Tree Decorating Contest. Public and private elementary and middle schools are invited to compete for up to $3,000 in prizes.
Officials are encouraging families across the islands to join the Christmas Village and “A Tropical Christmas in the Marianas,” celebrating the season with lights, music, food, and community spirit.
